The Barwon Heads Golf Club Redevelopment

This prestigious and state significant heritage listed clubhouse is located in the township of Barwon Heads overlooking 13th Beach and was originally constructed in 1924, serving as the first country club in Victoria and private residential golf club to provide accommodation.

The clubhouse has been designed by Demaine Partnership Pty Ltd and interiors by Nexus Designs. The project comprised of refurbished accommodation, redeveloped conference, dining, billiard room, amenities, administration, new feature interconnecting stairs and remodelled back of house facilities.

A key challenge was preserving the heritage integrity of this century-old, predominantly timber framed building, whilst navigating and balancing complex heritage controls, fire engineering and compliance aspects.

Through a carefully considered project execution and delivery strategy, BVC Projects worked closely with the Club to stage the project and ensure it remained operational throughout construction — a testament to our commitment to precision planning, clear communications and effective stakeholder management .

The project was delivered on time and under budget.
